Academics
Higher Education
Capital City Campus partners with several schools to enrich the lives' of rural South Dakotans with continuing education opportunities.
Students can apply at Lake Area Technical College (based in Watertown, SD) for admission into their Licensed Practical Nursing program and attend classes at Capital City Campus in Pierre, South Dakota. For more information about the nursing program at CCC can be found here.
The Ag Science program is ideal for students interested in production agriculture who want a flexible path to a degree with a shorter completion timeline. This program is a great fit for those who enjoy hands-on, active learning and want to build practical skills to improve agricultural production.
Students apply through South Dakota State University (SDSU) in Brookings, SD for admission into the Ag Science program here. We also offer a General Studies associate degree through SDSU. For more information about general studies can be found on the SDSU website here. Both options allow students to learn from SDSU’s exceptional faculty while staying close to home and progressing at a pace that works best for them.
Driver Education
Capital City Campus partners with several Driver Education Instructors to bring classes and behind-the-wheel instruction to central South Dakota.
Scheduling of classes is dependent on the needs in the community and Instructor availability. Capital City Campus has typically offered the Driver Education course and behind-the-wheel instruction four to six times per year. Driver Education classes are not scheduled in the Winter months.
